Weekend DIY Spa Night for Your Skin
“Do it yourself” is every girl’s secret to a wallet-saving beauty routine. One of the best DIY experiences is using your Saturday evening to kick back, relax, and enjoy a nice spa night. Spas are fun and refreshing, but they’re also expensive! Save yourself some money and do it yourself for the same amazing time. (Maybe even invite some of the girls over to take part in the fun!)
Pamper yourselves, have a glass of wine or two, face mask, and just enjoy the evening. With these following tips and recipes, you will definitely have a wonderful DIY summer spa night.
Weekend DIY Spa Night for Your Skin
Fresh Faces First
Treat your skin and leave your face feeling healthy and invigorated. One of the best-known DIY things that girls love to do is the facemask. Different types of faces (oily, dry, and combination skin) require different types of masks. While some will swear by the store-bought masks, there is a super easy and effective solution right at home. This mask has three easy steps with three simple items you should have around your house.
All you ladies will need is steel-cut oats, honey, and fresh lemon juice. Mix 2 tablespoons of your oats with 2 tablespoons of honey and tie everything together with a ½ tablespoon of lemon. Add warm water to fix the consistency if your mask is too thick. Then, before you put it on, wash your face to clean and open the skin! This all-natural mask is wonderful for all skin types (even sensitive skin).
It helps moisturize and exfoliate while fighting acne, scarring, and closed pores. You’ll definitely feel the ingredients working. Apply your mask, put on some cucumbers, and just relax.
Sugar Scrub a Dub Dub
Next, we need our skin to glow like our newly refreshed and hydrated faces do. One crucial step to this DIY Spa Night is a perfect sugar lip/body scrub and ours is so easy to make. The basic run down is to get granulated sugar, coconut or olive oil, and any essential oil for a delightful scent. Combine them all until it is a moist, thick mixture (but not too runny)! You want plenty of sugar for that awesome exfoliation power.
The oils will soak into your legs, arms, and body to nourish and lock-in moisture. Rub the scrub in gentle circles all over your body and your lips to refresh your skin and give it a clean glow. Hop in the bath when you’re done and get ready for the finishing touch, our final trick.
Smooth Finish
We aren’t done pampering those lovely legs, ladies. After the sugar scrub, it is prime shaving time. For my perfect DIY Spa Night, I finish up with a candlelit bath and a relaxing shave. The razor that you get is super important, and I use the five-blade razor and hydrating shave gel from my favorite women’s shave club. Shaving with plenty of blades and good shave cream is so important.
Shaving may seem like a hassle, but it keeps your skin renewed by scraping away dry, old skin and preventing bumps. So, enjoy your DIY Spa Night and be confident in your stunning skin the next day!
