The Watches to Rock this Winter

With winter drawing close, many of us will no doubt be preoccupied with rejuvenating our wardrobe in time for the new season. One aspect of this rejuvenation that often gets forgotten however is the wristwatch, arguably amongst the most important of them all. A good watch is the pin keeping one’s whole outfit together, the cherry on the Belgium Bun. With that in mind then, here are some delightful timepieces for you to choose from for your wardrobe this winter.

Raymond Weil Parsifal

While watches ought to be glamorous, they must be so in a subtle way, to avoid seeming ostentatious and consequently tacky. Raymond Weil’s Parsifal is a precise example of how this balance can be struck.

The watch’s bracelet is decorated with touches of yellow gold, while the mother of pearl dial is adorned with 65 diamonds.

This combination of precious metals, elegance and simplicity creates the perfect timepiece.

Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean

Not all watches are used simply as fashion accessories however. Omega’s Seamaster Planet Ocean, like some of the best watches out in the market, is specifically designed for diving.

It’s therefore equipped with a helium escape valve which balances the pressure inside the watch when diving, as well as a uni-directional rotating bezel.

The Seamaster Planet Ocean has a 50-hour power reserve and is water resistant for up to 600m deep.

But let’s not lie to ourselves; fashion is still important even for a diver’s watch. The Seamaster Planet Ocean, available in all white, has a pure look about it that makes it gorgeous to look at.

Longines PrimaLuna

Whether it’s the fabulous blued steel hands or the rose gold that just lights up the watch’s bezel and bracelet, the PrimaLuna is a master class in Swiss watch making.

At just over £2,000, the PrimaLuna certainly isn’t cheap. However, with 18-carat rose gold and the prestigious name of Longines as a brand, one couldn’t possibly expect anything less.

To be found at http://www.watches-of-switzerland.co.uk/brands/longines-watches, this is the watch to wear to have heads turning this winter.

Omega De Ville Ladymatic

I made a mistake. Longines’ PrimeLuna is ‘a’ watch to wear to get heads turning this winter, not ‘the’ watch. ‘The’ watch is the Omega De Ville Ladymatic, quite simply the most prized timepiece out on the market.

Worn by an array of different celebrities, the De Ville Ladymatic is made of 18-carat red gold and is decorated with gorgeous diamonds. To show that it’s not just a pretty face, the watch’s automatic movement is COSC-certified by accuracy.

The only setback with the piece is that it costs some £18,000. It costs money to look money then eh.
