Flutter Your Way to Fabulous False Eyelashes

If the eyes are the windows to the soul, then it’s time to start making sure you’re framing yours right.

Long gone are the days of limited choice when it comes to false lashes. These days us ladies are absolutely spoilt for choice, and with styles to suit almost any occasion, your eyes have never had such a perfect opportunity to look their best.

The question is, do you go for the natural look, all-out glamour, or something totally different?

For those that dream of big, beautiful lashes, but don’t know where to start, here’s my guide on how to fake a fabulous flutter that will cause all eyes to be fixated on you!

1)      For every day impact that’ll keep others guessing, go for the natural look. You’ll be amazed at the difference false eyelashes can make to your appearance; by accentuating your lashes, eyes are given the illusion of being bigger and brighter. For an everyday wow, try some subtle lashes to accentuate what you’ve already got. Individual lashes can create a real impact, whilst being virtually undetectable, but they do take a fair bit of skill to apply, so it’s worth a practice run first.

If you aren’t the patient type, try strip lashes which also come in several natural styles. Excellence lashes are great for achieving the natural look, as they have a wide range of natural strip and individual lashes to try.

2)      Colour me beautiful. If you’re the kind of girl that likes to make a real impact; a lover of colour and at the forefront of experimenting in bright eye shadow combinations, you’ll love the fact that lashes come in a variety of different colours, perfect for finishing off those peacock inspired eyes! Blue eye shadow with lime green lashes? Not a problem!

Small gems hidden in the length of the lashes will catch the light beautifully, or a couple of gems along the base of the lashes will be perfect for adding that extra sparkle. I personally prefer Excellence’s range for this, as they have some great lashes that give impact without being tacky.

Whatever your style, you’re guaranteed to find eyelashes to suit. Just make sure they fit correctly; don’t be afraid to trim down strip lashes to make them fit better, otherwise you may find they can irritate or begin to fall off during the course of wear, and that’s never a good look.

Finally, remember to experiment. Lashes are a fun and easy way to change your look, either subtly or drastically, and some people like to ‘layer up’ for a contrast in colour or for bolder impact. Take advantage of the different styles and find a unique look that’s perfect for you.
